Saving time may not be as easy as adjusting your clock, but here are a few tips that really will help you save time, each day, every day.
- Do just one thing at a time. There’s a lot of time wasted by going back and forth between tasks.
- Set a timer and focus. When the time’s up, get up and take a quick walk even if it’s just around your desk. You’ll feel like you got something accomplished and will be refreshed to continue or start on the next task.
- Check email on your terms. Decide on times each day you’ll check and process emails, instead of letting them constantly interrupt you.
A Thought to Ponder
“Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. And because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creatures endures. A fear of time running out.”
From the time keeper, by Mitch Albom
